Weekly Deals for November 2nd

It’s that time of the week again, time to see some of the great deals that pertain to us RVers. The first one that I have found was a Groupon deal for a Cardio conditioning program. This 14-workout DVD package is perfect for the RVer who doesn’t have access to a gym and wants to shape up this season! This package is originally $144 but you can get this now for $59! Much cheaper than a gym membership!

The next deal is perfect for on the road travel. In some states it is illegal to use a hand held cell phone without a headset. Less Frustration at the Station

With gas prices staying sky high this precious little commodity is like liquid gold now-a-days. This especially effects us rvers out there that still want to hit the open road and explore new areas. Luckily there are ways to use less gas and therefore spend less money. The most effective way to do this is by sensible driving. If you are an aggressive driver who speeds up and slows down attempting to pass anyone in your sight then you are quite empty_gas_tankpossibly lowering your gas mileage by 33% at highway speeds. That is equivalent to $1.02 per gallon. Those $1.00 certainly add up on road trips. Also following the speed limit also increases your gas mileage. For every 5MPH that you go over 60 MPH you are paying an additional $.20 per gallon.

The next one is especially noteworthy for RVers and that is removing excess weight. It is tempting to pack every nook and cranny full of things that you “might” need on your trip but try to resist. It just makes sense, the heavier the load the more gas it needs to pull it. And last but not least check your air filter. If you air filter hasn’t been replaced in a long time chances are you have a clogged filter that can hurt your gas mileage by 10%.

Not only will these simple guidelines save you gas and therefore money and time at the pump but they will make your trip safer for you and everyone else on the road!

Weekly Deals for October 26th

It’s that time of the week again to tell you about some of the best deals I have found online this week perfect for the RVer.

This is perfect if you are like me and scarily reliant on your phone that the mere thought of breaking it gives you mild anxiety. Living social deals have come out with the driSuit Endurance Case for the iPhone. This case is perfect for the outdoor adventurer, tailgater, kindleor mother of a toddler who loves to play with your phone. It is completely waterproof and can even be used under water! The other one today I am particularly excited about. It would be the perfect gift for any RVer on your list. It is a refurbished Amazon Kindle. Weekly Deals for October 18th

Ok so it’s that time of the week again to share with you some of the great deals that I have found online for you RVers! The one that I am most excited about is on groupon.com and they are offering a Garmin 1300LMT GPS that is listed for $240 but you can get it now for $69. This also comes with lifetime traffic and maps! This is the perfect and most IMAGE_Garmin-1300LMT-GPS-with-Lifetime-M_grid_6necessary accessory any road tripper can have. I personally believe I would still be putzing around Alabama without one.

The next fun deal that I found was on Eversave.com. They are offering an NFL Car Decal of the whole family for only $9.00. These regularly run upwards of $25.00. These are just a cute little addition to bring some personality to your car or RV!

And last but not least is a tool that I am personally investing in and that is the FURminator. This deal is found on ever save.com as well and is a pain free easy way to remove your pets shedding hair before it collects on your floors and furniture. This would help eliminate a lot of clean up time in my RV and keep the dust to a minimum. For only $20 and free shipping this is a tool worth trying

Deals for the Week October 11th

Every so often I’d like to share with you some of the good deals online that I have found for the week. For those of you not familiar with groupon, living social deals, eversave and others they are websites that offer sales and deals at discount prices. These can range anywhere from vacations, to kitchen tools, to pottery classes, and the list goes on and on. This week I found this deal at groupon.com. It is a perfect RV camping weekend getaway. For $24.00 you get a two night stay at a campsite in Kentucky which is usually $48.00. Near the campsite is a 17,000 acre recreation area popular for bird watching, canoeing, or bass fishing at its two lakes. Surely plenty to keep the whole family busy and having fun!

This other deal struck my eye for the RV pet lover. I love the fact that I can take my dog with me wherever I go but I also want him to be comfortable. Groupon is offering these foldable pet cot with mesh insert’s which would be a perfect bed to set out by the campfire so Fido doesn’t have to lay on the ground. These pet cots usually sell for $100 but on groupon you can purchase them for $19.00.

The last deal I found this week is perfect for the constant road tripper. Eversave.com is offering a car adapter that can charge two USB devices simultaneously. This would include charging your iPad, iPod, iPhone, Android and more. I can’t tell you how handy this will come in, especially if you’ve ever had an iPad battery die in the middle of your kids movie. These would usually sell for $29.00 but right now you can buy them for $2.00. Sounds like a deal to me!!! Remember all of these deals end fast so if you’re interested make sure to act quickly.
