Introducing Kelley and Renee

Hello Campers!
We are Kelley and Renee. Eight months ago we sold our 2.500 square foot home, sold or donated all of our possessions and began living full time in our 2019 Keystone Raptor 421CK fifth wheel toy hauler when Kelley’s job relocated us to the Atlanta, GA area. We love hiking, kayaking, and biking. Kelley works for General Motors at the GM regional office in Alpharetta, GA. Renee blogs all of our full time RVing adventures. We LOVE living full time in our RV. We are empty nesters so it is just the two of us. We have 2 queen size beds in the “garage area” of our camper for when our kids, family, and friends come to visit. Living full time has freed us from previous expenses such as an electricity bill, water bill, HOA fees, taxes, pool chemicals, etc. Our weekends are free from yard work and cleaning a house all day. Instead, we are outside every weekend traveling, hiking, kayaking or biking. We have hiked to several waterfalls and the Appalachian Approach Trail. One day we would like to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. We plan to full time for 2 years and then 6 months of the year for as long as we can. Visiting all 50 states and all National Parks is our ongoing plan. Follow us on Facebook, fiftyandfifthwheeling, and Instagram @ fiftyandfifthwheeling to see where we are going next!

12 Reasons To Buy A Camper: #4

#4 Reason To Buy A Camper: Never Lose Your Luggage

How many times have you had the fear of losing your luggage at the airport? Or how many times have you had your luggage delayed, shipped elsewhere or even worse, lost altogether? When you own your own camper, you won’t have to worry about the stress of losing anything, because all of your items will be nicely stored away and protected. You even have the freedom to pre-pack and load up your luggage months before your trip. Last but not least, you get to save so much money! No need to empty your wallet for paying to store all of your luggage. Now that is what I call a worry-free vacation!

#3 Reason To Buy A Camper: Bring Your Pets

Calling all animal lovers, not being able to bring your pet is one problem that you do not want to face while traveling. Pets are like family and they should be able to enjoy the experiences and adventures on your camping trips with you. Buying a pet-friendly camper is the best way to go to include your fur family member with ease and comfort.

RV Accessory Reviews – Sunscreen, Slunky, Tire Minder and more!

While vacationing in beautiful Gulf Shores Alabama I took a few products from our store to review. I really enjoy finding great accessories that make camping and travel easier. For this edition of RV Accessory Reviews I cover:

0:00 – 3:45 – TireMinder Smart TPMS – A fantastic tool for peace of mind while traveling. Monitors your tire pressure in real-time and alerts you of pressure/heat issues.

3:45 – 5:45 – EZ Sunshade – A very easy to install and use accessory four your awning that provides additional sunshade while not blocking the beautiful view!

5:45 – 7:07 – X-Chocks – Looking to take the extra movement out of your camper, or just looking for extra peace of mind that your camper won’t move. These guys are perfect for just that. SImple to install and very effective.

7:07 – 8:45 – The Slunky Sewer Hose Support – I had no idea I needed one until I got one. The Slunky helps keep a constant flow for your sewer hoses.

Top RV Myths – Common myths and misconceptions about RV’ing

Recently Emily from Primeaux RV came up to Indiana to visit Walnut Ridge RV. We took advantage of that time to sit down and discuss some common myths/misconceptions involving RV’ing, Travel Trailers, Towing, and accessories.
Both Emily and Dan have worked in the RV industry for a number of years and run the social media accounts for both dealerships. Watch as these two discuss things they hear on a day-to-day basis and give their takes on them.
