Using Your Super Bowl Leftovers For New Recipes

Rule of thumb when throwing a party is to always make more food than you think you may need, no one wants to run out of food superbowl leftoverspmwith a house full of hungry guests. With that being said it goes to reason that you will undoubtedly have left overs. As someone that doesn’t particularly like eating the same thing two days in a row here are a few recipe ideas using your typical Super Bowl foods.

The first one is pretty easy and that is using your leftover chicken wings. Simply pull the chicken off of the bone and shred. Take the shredded chicken and toss into a frying pan over med/low heat. Add a few tablespoons of water and some taco seasoning. With this chicken you now have the basis for some delicious chicken fajitas in no time!

Another common food that is leftover from a Super Bowl party is salsa and guacamole. And to make matters worse all too often there are no chips left to finish off these yummy dips. The best way to re-use this delicious combo is with your next mornings breakfast. Simply scramble up your morning eggs with a big scoopful of salsa. Put your eggs over toast and top with guacamole. The result is a yummy, protein filled breakfast. (Plus guacamole helps with hangovers as well!)

Meatballs are another common Super Bowl food that can make a wonderful leftover meal. Instead of keeping them in-tact like a meatball chop up the balls in a skillet until it resembles ground beef. From there simply add some finely chopped onion, green pepper, and garlic with a can of sloppy joe mix and voila~ an entirely different meal.

Last but not least with your leftover beer (yes there is such a thing in some households) you can make a delicious beer bread. All you need is self-rising flour, sugar, salt, beer, and butter. Simply follow this easy recipe and in no time you will have some warm and fresh homemade bread!
