The New Definition of Sleeping on the Couch

The term “sleeping on the couch” tends to have a negative connotation. Whether it be from the blatant sexual innuendo or the fact that the couch is looked upon as an incredibly uncomfortable place to sleep it is not a place people wish to be. The RV industry was not immune to this distaste as the pull out couch was never the first place people chose to sleep… in fact most of the time it was the person who pulled the short straw that was forced to sleep on the comfortless, back breaking bed.

jiffy23Thankfully these pull out beds have come a long way from the paper thin mattresses with metal bars jutting through. Many of our units now come equipped with jiffy beds. These easy to assemble couches use very thick cushions that pull out to form a pillow top type bed. Some of these come in one piece pull outs while others come in two pieces (as shown). This has eliminated the ever expected fight as to who has to sleep on the pull out. Now when you are banished to the couch you can revel in the fact that you’ll be getting a full and comfortable nights sleep!
