Toy Haulers: Not Just for Toys

I’ll admit it, I never gave the idea of purchasing a toy hauler a second thought. I assumed that since I had noraptor 297se interest in owning 4-wheelers, ATV’s, or any other large machinery then there would be no rhyme or reason for me to look at a toy hauler. That all changed once I finally went inside one, boy was I wrong! The 2013 Raptor 297SE impressed me from the moment I walked in the door. I don’t know 297SE_medif it was the leather furniture, the sleek design, the large cabinet space, or the fact that I slightly felt like a rock star on my tour bus but I was instantly enamored. Once I got past the mere awesome appearance of the RV I started to think about functionality.

As a rule I don’t travel without my dogs but sometimes our current RV gets a bit crowded with their food/water bowls, crates, beds, and the animals themselves. The cargo part of the Raptor would be a perfect place to set up all of their supplies and give them the space they need. Not only that but with a rear-door screen wall and large sitting area in the cargo space it is the perfect way to entertain while at the campground. It allows people to be part of the outside conversation but still in the comforts of an enclosure! The possibilities are endless whether you want a room to do yoga, scrapbook, use as the kids room, to paint, or for storage.

The most amazing part of all is that we currently have this on sale on our lot but hurry because more and more people are discovering the versatility and comforts offered in the Raptor.

The Dangers of For Sale by Owner

Driving down the road one day you see an RV for sale by owner so you decide to take a look. The outside of the unit appears to be in decent shape and it doesn’t look too old. Then you see the price tag and it certainly looks appealing! But don’t get too caught up in the too good to be true because chances are it is.

spendingmoneyThere are so many risks involved when you are buying from an individual. For starters you have no way of knowing if the previous owner properly winterized the unit each winter. Also an individual cannot provide financial assistance or accept a trade. But the biggest risk you are taking is that you are purchasing this RV without any warranty or protection. You are agreeing to take the unit as is which you should assume means that nothing works. While the price may seem enticing you should also remember that there are some costly repairs that you may be facing that could negate the low cost of your investment.

For example to replace an RV refrigerator could cost you upwards of $1,200 and if it needs an entire new rubber roof you are looking at a staggering $5,000 and up to repair. In the end your “good deal” could end up costing you more headache, time, hassle, and most importantly money in the end.

Catalina Coachmen

I’d like to take a minute and talk about one of my favorite units that we currently have inside our showroom and that is our 2012 Catalina Coachmen. Not only does it offer all the amenities of home but it’s currently priced under $ 19,000. In my opinion one of the best features catalinathat it boasts is even before you get inside and that is the outdoor kitchen area. This is the perfect accessory for any camper that enjoys being outside but still having the luxuries of an indoor kitchen. While using this i am able to prepare a meal, grab a snack, or wash my hands without having to go inside the RV or leave the campfire conversation. Plus the RV comes with outside marine-grade speakers and a power electric awning, perfect for entertaining or enjoying a peaceful evening.

But the benefits don’t end there. Once you get inside you’ll see the spacious layout and the soothing earth-tone decor. It also has sliding doors that are great space savers and ample lighting to keep the place bright and airy looking. One thing that really caught my eye was the abundance of storage space in the bathroom, and as any woman will tell you this is a make or break type of amenity!

So come by and check out the Catalina and take advantage of our special pricing. These usually go fast so we hope to see you soon.

Let’s Go! (Insert your favorite team name here)!

I think tailgating for football games has to be one of my favorite fall past-times. It doesn’t matter if we’re cheering on the Colts, the Bears, or whomever (except the Patriots, gotta draw the line somewhere) it was always memorable. But what really makes the tailgating experience skyrocket is being able to bring our RV to the lot! Having all the amenities of football_goalhome surrounded by thousands of screaming football fans is what dreams are made of. Not only do you have a place to dry off and stay warm on those cold, wet days but you tend to draw quite a crowd. I took my 2012 Coachmen Catalina to a Colts game recently and was the hit of the parking lot. With an attached outside grill and kitchen area I could keep food warm and drinks cold all day long.

Many of the parking lots or college campuses offer designated RV areas. Some of these even offer full hook-up! I can’t say I will miss standing in line for the porta-pot. Here are a couple of lists that let you know where the RV friendly areas are on College campuses and at the NFL stadiums. Please send us your pictures of you enjoying your RV at a football game!
