Hello Campers!
We are Kelley and Renee. Eight months ago we sold our 2.500 square foot home, sold or donated all of our possessions and began living full time in our 2019 Keystone Raptor 421CK fifth wheel toy hauler when Kelley’s job relocated us to the Atlanta, GA area. We love hiking, kayaking, and biking. Kelley works for General Motors at the GM regional office in Alpharetta, GA. Renee blogs all of our full time RVing adventures. We LOVE living full time in our RV. We are empty nesters so it is just the two of us. We have 2 queen size beds in the “garage area” of our camper for when our kids, family, and friends come to visit. Living full time has freed us from previous expenses such as an electricity bill, water bill, HOA fees, taxes, pool chemicals, etc. Our weekends are free from yard work and cleaning a house all day. Instead, we are outside every weekend traveling, hiking, kayaking or biking. We have hiked to several waterfalls and the Appalachian Approach Trail. One day we would like to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. We plan to full time for 2 years and then 6 months of the year for as long as we can. Local Dealer, Walnut Ridge RV, Named Among RVBusiness Top 50 in North America
RVBusiness magazine recently released the list of its 2019 Top 50 RV Dealers in North America Awards recipients, which included local RV dealer Walnut Ridge located at 87 N County Road 300 W. in New Castle, IN.

RVBusiness and marketing communications agency BJ Thompson Associates asked RV manufacturers to nominate dealers across the United States and Canada who exemplify best practices and excellence in their field. Nominees were then invited to fill out comprehensive applications covering a wide array of subjects, including practices pertaining to consumers, staff, marketing, charitable endeavors and overall business procedures. An independent panel of industry experts then pored through scores of applications during an intensive two-day, closed-door session at the RV/MH Hall of Fame & Museum in Elkhart, Ind., known as the “RV capital of the world.”
RVB Top 50 Administrator BJ Thompson said the selection process was exceptionally intense this year. “Our panel of judges was about as intently engaged as we’ve ever seen in completing their evaluations and final selections. There were some dynamic debates among the judges regarding the dealer finalists,” Thompson reported. “We saw evidence of dealers not resting on their laurels of past performance but placing additional emphasis on service technician training and pressing for even higher levels of customer satisfaction.”

We completed a new 23,000 parts and service expansion last year, bringing our total indoor service bays to twenty six. The RVB Top 50 Awards honorees will be publicly recognized on stage Nov. 13 at an all-industry reception held during the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association International Convention/Expo at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, thanks to support from program sponsors Airxcel, Brown & Brown, Cummins Power Generation, Dometic Corp., Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., Lippert Components Inc., Northpoint Commercial Finance, NTP-STAG, Protective Asset Protection and Wells Fargo CDF.

RVBusiness asked recreation vehicle manufacturers to nominate dealers across the United States and Canada who exemplify best practices and excellence in their field. Nominees were invited to fill out comprehensive applications describing business aspects including customer service and satisfaction, employee training, financial planning, marketing and community involvement. An independent panel of industry experts convened at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., the unofficial “RV Capital of the World,” to select the RVB Top 50 from nominated dealers who submitted applications.
In addition, the judges designated five exceptional dealers of the 50 as Blue Ribbon awardees: Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales being one of them.
Program coordinators expanded the judges’ panel this year, bringing perspectives from even more areas of RV-industry business specialization. The extra hands also helped make lighter work of the applications received, which were more extensive than any previous year, according to Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RVBusiness magazine and founder of the Top 50 program.
“As a whole, our applying dealers not only gave us more data this year, but they also went to great lengths to tell us their stories and let their personalities shine through,” Goldenberg said. “It was a tough job for the judges to narrow it down. Those who made the cut should be very proud of that achievement.”
The 2017 class of RVBusiness Top 50 dealers were honored at a Nov. 8 awards reception in front of an all-industry standing room only audience of over 400 during the 2017 RV Dealers Association (RVDA) International Convention/Expo at Bally’s Las Vegas, presented in cooperation with the RVDA of both the United States and Canada and underwritten by the program’s sponsors: Airxcel, Ally Financial Inc., Cummins Power Generation, Dometic Corp., Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., Lippert Components Inc., NTP-STAG, Protective Asset Protection, Truma and Wells Fargo CDF.
