Brown County: A Cultural Place in a Small Town Space

We often get asked for recommendations of places to see and things to do while traveling with your RV and while there is always the typical answer of Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, or The Great Lakes did you know that there is a wonderful destination much closer? Brown County State park has just as much to offer as many of the more popular destinations. It is the perfect place to take the family for the weekend and if offers year round camping capability. They have a swimming pool that is open seasonally as well as a playground in the park. If you are interested in horse back riding they have The Saddle Barn that offers guided trail rides as well as pony rides for the kids. With two large lakes located within the park you can enjoy the ample fishing or even ice fishing in the winter.

If the weather is bad or you are looking for a change of pace Brown County also offers an array of art related interests. Brown County is even known as the Art Colony of the Midwest shown by the Brown County Art Gallery. Along with that there is a thriving music and theater scene as well as multiple festivals held in town throughout the year.
