Bird Watching from Your RV

There are so many fun and educational things you can do while RVing and bird watching is definitely one of them.  I know what you’re thinking… how can bird watching be fun but trust me on this one.  My family and I try to make a game out of identifying the ones that we see.  The best way that I have found to identifying a bird is to take as many quick pictures of it as I can before it flies away.  Then I can go back and try to analyze and look up photos to determine the specific type of bird that I have photographed.  My family and I then save one of the pictures to an online album and label the bird.  It’s amazing the amount of different birds there are out there.

But we don’t leave all of this birdwatching to chance.  We try to attract the birds using different feeders and bait.  Not only does this allow us to see a wider variety of birds but we get to feed them in the process.  So start a fun family tradition today of watching and identifying this amazing wildlife.  It will keep your kids motivated to discover and explore plus learn something along the way!
