Camping may not be over for some of you and with the greatest time of year coming up, we wanted to share some Cozy Winter Wonderland Campgrounds you can visit to get in the holiday spirit!

When the weather turns cold outside, it doesn’t always mean it’s frightful. One of the best things about RVing is the ability to pack up and go wherever you like, whenever you like including during winter. In fact, many RV enthusiasts look forward to winter camping because of fewer crowds and empty roads. Thinking about taking the path less traveled for the holidays this year? Check out a few of these cozy winter wonderland campgrounds perfect for cuddling up with the people you love the most.

1. Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp Resort, MI

Starting off strong with the Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp Resort, located in Frankenmuth Michigan. This beloved town was listed as the TOP destination for getting you in the Christmas spirit. It even was listed in TIME magazine as one of the nine “Most Christmassy Towns in America.” What makes this town so special is their German roots and Bavarian-style architecture that makes you feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie!

Make sure you take the time to visit Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, which is self-proclaimed as the world’s largest Christmas store! Bronner’s is the size of one and a half football fields! There’s over 50,000 lights in its Christmas Lane every day of the year and has over 50,000 different items to look at. So be sure to stop on in and find some special gifts for your loved ones.

2. Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground, NY

Are you obsessed with winter sports actives like skiing and snowboarding? Well up next is the Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground which has a blanket of snow so you can live out all your winter dreams. However, hiking and skiing aren’t the only reasons to visit. The charming downtown main street of Cooperstown is a lovely stroll with all their cozy shops, breweries and restaurants.

3. Levenworth RV Campground, WA

Leavenworth RV Campground located in the heart of Levenworth, Washington. The views alone are the reason to visit during the winter months though but there’s plenty of winter activites to take part in like sledding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing on the trails or at the Stevens Pass Ski Resort nearby. After a long day of outdoor adventures, venture into their local German restaurants in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. Levenworth also has their annual Christmas lighting festival with over 500,000 lights strung around their town!

4. Wilson’s Riverfront RV Park, NC

Wilson’s Riverfront RV Park is located in Asheville and the area is known for its perfect blend of historic architecture and holiday spirit. The Biltmore Estate, a mansion built for George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895, gives you an endless array of holiday activities to partake in.
