5 Campers Under 5,000lbs!

RVs come in all shapes and sizes and often, smaller campers are easily get over looked! But here’s some reasons to consider a smaller sized unit:

1. Tow their RV without a heavy-duty truck.
2. Spend more time outside and less in the camper.
3. You can easily drive through cities & gas stations.
4. More campground/campsite options you have.
5. You can find one within your price range.

Here’s some awesome examples of campers we have in stock, under 5,000lbs!

1. Coachmen Clipper 17CBH

The Coachmen Clipper 17CBH is a 20′ 4 family camper, equipped with bunks, lots of storage and zero slideouts. The small body of the camper allows it to go anywhere very easily plus it can be towed by practically any vehicle thanks to a dry weight of under 3,000 pounds. With its bunks and convertible dinette space, this bad boy can sleep up to 5 people.

2. Forest River IBEX 19MBH

When it comes to lightweight campers we gotta mention the Forest River IBEX 19MBH. If you’re looking for not only functionality but personality, this IBEX is the perfect match!

As well as the Clipper, this IBEX floorplan also has zero slides, but we’ve increased our sleeping capacity to a whopping 7 people. At 24′ 4″ you get a murphy style master bed, all terrain tires and solar on board. Overall, this is an amazing option, especially for an individual or family who lives an active lifestyle and wants to get off the beaten path.

3. Keystone Hideout 179RB

Most of your Hideout single axle campers weigh under that 5,000lbs mark but I wanted to highlight one floorplan in particular. This is the Keystone Hideout 179RB.

So far we’ve shown you some really great family camper options, but I wanted to showcase a couples coach. This stellar floorplan is as light in color as it is in weight, coming in at a mere 3,753lbs. With a queen size bed, storage everywhere you look and a full width rear bathroom, this makes for a couples getaway dream! It can still sleep up to three people with the convertible dinette space if you have a kiddo or friend wanting to tag along.

4. Forest River Ozark 2500TH

We’re taking a different approach with number four because…(*drumroll please*) it’s a toy hauler! Yes, I can’t believe it either the Forest River Ozark 2500TH is a toy hauler that falls under this category weighing as the heaviest unit on our list at 4,913lbs.

Now, keep in mind, your weight will go up the more toys you bring on your trip. However, this camper can still very much be treated as another travel trailer – just with a big ‘ol 13’ garage! The garage allows for your imagination to grow with what you want to do with the space. From morning to night the garage can be converted from lounging area to a fold down king size bed for the kids!

5. Heartland Trail Runner 211RD

Last, but not least we have a Heartland Trail Runner 211RD. Another couples coach that comes in weighing at 4,278lbs.

It’s bohemian interior style wins the hearts of many from the warm toned flooring to the light and bright cabinetry colors, leaving you with endless decorating options. Towards the front begins your queen size mattress in the master suite, leading back is your fully equipped kitchen following the giant u-shaped dinette space.
